James ‘Batman’ Langton, founder of Barbwire^® Fight Club, had a flourishing career as a professional boxer from 2011 to 2018.

Throughout those seven years, he engaged in 20 professional fights, earning two New Zealand titles, as well as competing in one IPO Oceania title fight and one IPO Asia-Pacific cruiser weight title fight.

James cherished every moment of his boxing career, as sports has always been an integral part of his life and upbringing.

Upon retiring, James felt it was his turn to give back to the New Zealand sports community. In 2020, he established Barbwire^® Gym, which aims to cater to individuals of all ages and fitness levels. The facility welcomes everyone, including troubled youth, schools, high schools, sports teams, and those who are interested in fitness.

James is proud to have a talented group of fighters who are working hard and aspiring to become professional fighters in the future.

After running the gym for 3 years, in 2023 Barbwire^® Fight Club emerged. Born from
James’ relentless spirit, BFC is a boxing revolution where fans help decide the outcome.
